Carmen holds a PhD in Life Science and a MSc in Biology. She is an independent consultant and works with several INGOs as a researcher, trainer and facilitator. She is specialised in designing and implementing participatory approaches to enhance capacity building and strategy development in international environmental and development projects, with a particular focus on the water sector.​
