About the Author
Irene has been Oxfam International’s Gender Justice Coordinator since January 2015. She is a gender specialist with a graduate degree in Political Sciences and a Masters in Cooperation for Development as well as a Masters in Gender Studies, Women and Citizenship.Irene started her career working with a grassroots women’s rights organization in Nicaragua. She holds more than 10 years’ experience in the development sector, both in the field and in NGO head offices. Irene holds extensive experience in program design, management, monitoring and institutional funding from a women’s rights perspective.
